Lough Key Triathlon Club will host it’s 5th triathlon in the venue of Lough Key Forest Park on Sunday the 4^th of September. This event begins with a 750 metre swim in the calm waters of Lough Key. Then onto a challenging 23km cycle around the Lough over an undulating course.

The 5km run course takes you through the stunning forestry of the park along the soft forest trails.

The 2010 competition attracted elite athletes and it was ultimately Gavin Noble’s day as he was first man home in a time of 1:03: 28, setting a new course record.

This event owes its continued success to the hard work and dedication of the race organisers, supporters and particularly the main sponsors, Waterways Ireland.

Go to www.runireland.com to register for this race. Entry fee is €50 for individuals and €90 for relay teams. All entrants will be required to purchase a one day licence from www.triathlonireland.com.
